Every day

Your morning on Route Companion, one tap at a time: read the morning brief, paste the Daily Summary, reroute, then make the listed changes in Time To Pet. About five minutes on a normal day, on a phone or a laptop. Route Companion never changes Time To Pet. It tells you what to change there, and you change it.

Where things are on the route page.

At the top: the date with ‹ and › arrows and Today, the bell ๐Ÿ”” (things that need a person), the cog โš™๏ธ (Settings), ↻ (check for changes now), and on a laptop a Reroute button.

At the bottom: a bar with Routes, Shifts, Ahead, More and, on a phone, Reroute….

The day itself: on a phone, top to bottom: the yellow banner, the map, the paste box, the Time To Pet list, then one card per sitter. On a laptop the map sits on the left and the rest is on the right.

First thing: the morning brief 2 minutes

1

Open the email from Route Companion that came around 5 AM.

The subject is either “Route Companion today: all clear” or “Route Companion today: 3 things need you” (the number changes). If you connected a Pumble, Slack or Google Chat channel in Set up, the same note is posted there too.

You’ll see: the date on the first line. On a quiet day the next line is “All clear for today: 41 visits, 7 sitters. Nothing needs you.” and you can skip to the route page.
More

The brief only reads. The last line always says “Nothing was changed by this note.” It goes to the address in Settings › Plan Emails To (blank means the Google account that owns the workbook). To stop it, open Settings, search for Morning Brief and set it to Off. The 5 AM reroute, if you use it, keeps running either way.

2

Read the part headed TODAY, if there is one.

Each line is something that needs a person today. Most mornings it has two or three lines.

You’ll see: only the lines that apply today, in this order.
Every line the TODAY part can have
  • “Today has not been planned yet.” Open the route page and paste the Daily Summary (below).
  • “No visits are on file for today.” Nothing was brought in. If Time To Pet has bookings today, paste the Daily Summary, or bring in the week’s visits: More › Set up › This week’s visits.
  • “These 3 visits have no place on the day as Time To Pet booked it. Reroute on the route page to find someone:” The day has not been rerouted yet. A reroute usually finds them a sitter.
  • “Nobody can take these 3 visits today:” The day was rerouted and these still do not fit. Each line gives the client, the service, the time and the reason, for example “Ada Pell (Fido, Rex), Drop-in, at 6:00 PM: no sitter with room then.”
  • “Over a limit today:” a sitter whose visit ends after their shift ends, a sitter over their Max Visits, or (if you set a weekly hours flag) someone over it.
  • “Hours between visits:” a client whose visits are closer together or further apart than your spacing rules, including overnight. Up to five lines; the rest are on the route page under the bell.
  • “Time To Pet: 4 changes still to make for today.” The Time To Pet list on the route page still has lines on it.
  • “A request is waiting for a yes:” a client request still marked pending, with where it fits.
3

Read the part headed TOMORROW.

You’ll see: up to three kinds of line: “Tightest stretch: Wed 4 to 6 PM: 9 visits for 3 sitters booked then.”, “Jo is off. 3 visits are still booked with them in Time To Pet.”, and “Maria has 12 visits on tomorrow’s plan, about 7 on a usual day.”
More

Somebody off with visits still booked to them is the one to act on today: those visits need a new sitter in Time To Pet. “Busier than usual” only appears once a sitter has five or more worked days on record.

4

Glance at ONE NUMBER.

It changes with the day of the week: driving saved this week by rerouting, revenue per hour this month against last, one client gone quiet, or the busiest sitter this week. A number with nothing behind it is skipped for the next one.

You’ll see: one sentence and “More in the … report” with a link that opens that report.
5

If there is a part headed NEEDS FIXING, deal with it first.

It only appears when something has stopped working: Google refused real drive times, or last night’s Time To Pet import did not run, failed, or held days back.

You’ll see: what is wrong and what to press, for example “Open the route page, More › Set up › the nightly backup, and press Bring in last night’s backup now.”
More

Two more lines can close the brief. “Looking ahead: 2 days have changes worth a look.” with a link to the Looking ahead screen, and “Left out this morning because the run was long: …” when a big day left no time for a part. The route page has whatever was left out.

The morning on the route page about 5 minutes

Paste the Daily Summary

6

Open the route page and check the date at the top says Today.

If it shows another day, tap Today next to the date arrows.

You’ll see: today’s date with a small “Today” tag beside it.
7

Find the box called 1 Start here: paste the Daily Summary, and tap it.

On a phone it is under the map. On a laptop it is in the right-hand column, under the day’s summary line.

You’ll see: the box open, with an empty paste area that says “Paste the Daily Summary here: today’s, or several days at once…”, a Choose a file instead button, Bring it in and Just check, change nothing.
8

In Time To Pet, open Schedule › Daily Summary.

Pick today, or a range of days if you want several at once (tomorrow too, or the whole week). Days ahead work even when nobody has been assigned to the visits yet: the page then says Route instead of Reroute and plans the whole day for you.

You’ll see: each visit with its sitter and a line like “Requested Block: Arrival 7-11 AM” under it.
More: why this paste matters

The arrival window a client asked for is only on the Daily Summary. No export and no backup carries it. Without the paste, every visit is planned at its booked time, give or take your Manual Visit Flex.

9

Scroll to the very bottom of the Daily Summary and check the staff list is showing.

The page ends with your team for that day. It has to be in what you copy, so the copy runs from the top of the page to the end of that staff list. If the page shows only some of the visits with page numbers at the bottom, show them all first.

You’ll see: the last visit, then the staff list under it.
10

Select everything on the page, staff list included, and copy it.

On a laptop: click once on the page (not in a box), then Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C (Cmd on a Mac). On a phone: press and hold on the page, Select All, check the selection reaches the staff list at the bottom, then Copy.

More: dragging to select instead

If you drag to select, start above the first visit and drag all the way past the last line of the staff list. Stopping at the last visit leaves the staff list out.

11

Go back to the route page, tap inside the paste area, and paste.

You’ll see: the summary’s text in the box.
More

Saved it as a file instead? Tap Choose a file instead; the file fills the same box and the page says “Read …. Check it looks right, then press a button below.”

Not sure? Just check, change nothing lists how each window would change and changes nothing.

12

Tap Bring it in.

You’ll see: a dark pill at the bottom counting the seconds (“Bringing in the Daily Summary… usually 10 to 30 s”), then a line like “38 windows set (30 from a requested block, 8 around the scheduled time ±30 min, 0 exact)”. The box now reads ✓ Windows set from the Daily Summary, and the yellow banner at the top says “Your day as booked in Time To Pet. Nothing optimized yet.”
More: what else the result can say
  • In the summary but not on the Visits tab, so added: new bookings. They are on the day now.
  • Cancelled in Time To Pet, removed from the Visits tab: those are off the day.
  • On the Visits tab but not in this summary: cancelled or moved since the last import? The names are listed.
  • Couldn’t match: a client name the page could not find.
  • Booked with someone not on the Staff tab: a sitter Time To Pet names whom Route Companion does not know yet. Add them under More › Set up › Your team.
  • This summary also covered 4 other days: their windows were set too. Those days were not rerouted.

The notes stay in the box until you tap Dismiss these notes. Tapping the box heading later shows What the last paste did.

Bring it in, or Paste changes (keeps your plan)?

Bring it in (the Start here box) lays the whole day out again exactly as Time To Pet has it booked. Use it first thing, before you reroute. On a day you already rerouted it asks first, because it clears your reroute and its Time To Pet list.

Paste changes (keeps your plan) is on the bar called Changed in Time To Pet?, under the sitter cards. Use it later in the day: paste just the visits that changed and the rest of your plan stays where it is.

Check who is working

13

Look at the names under the date, headed Staff available today.

Who works a day is everyone on the Daily Summary you pasted, plus anyone you marked in, less anyone marked out or with time off. On a day with no Daily Summary pasted, everyone counts as working.

You’ll see: a green chip for each person working and a grey chip with a reason for the rest: “(out)”, “(not on the Daily Summary)”, “(on-call)”. A working sitter with “(no address yet)” is not routed.
More

A team of more than twelve sees one line instead, like “9 working today, 2 out, 27 not on the Daily Summary”, and a chip Mark somebody out or in ▸ that opens the names. Tapping a chip marks that person out or in (see During the day).

Reroute

14

Pin anything that must stay as it is. Skip this if nothing must.

One visit: tap it, then Pin to this sitter. One sitter’s whole day: tap the ๐Ÿ“Œ on their card’s coloured heading. Every visit as booked: Pin all on the bar Keep or move a few? under the cards.

You’ll see: a filled ๐Ÿ“Œ and the word “pinned” on each pinned visit. A reroute never moves a pinned visit.
15

Tap Reroute.

On a phone: Reroute… at the right of the bottom bar. On a laptop: Reroute at the top right. The same three choices are also in the yellow banner.

You’ll see: a panel titled “Reroute Tue, Oct 6” with “Pick how. Time To Pet is never changed: you get a list of the changes to make there.” and three choices.
More: when the buttons say Route instead

On a day where half or more of the visits have no real sitter yet (booked to a placeholder or dummy account, or to nobody), the buttons say Route and the banner says “Most visits have no sitter yet.” Route works the same way.

16

Pick one of the three.

Reroute Tue, Oct 6: fewest changes (marked Usual) keeps each visit with the sitter Time To Pet booked wherever it can, and moves a visit only to save real driving or to fit one that is waiting. Reroute: best routes plans the whole day for the least driving, whoever was booked; it asks you to confirm because it means more changes in Time To Pet. Compare first shows both side by side and changes nothing until you pick.

You’ll see: a pill at the bottom, “Rerouting… 12 s · usually 15 to 45 s”. Leave the page open until it goes.
More: Compare first

A card called Compare before rerouting appears with a row each: Keep as it is, Reroute: fewest changes, Fewest changes plus the few moves that save the most, and Reroute: best routes. Each row says how many changes it needs in Time To Pet and how much driving it saves. Tap the button on the row you want. If every choice is the same, it says “Nothing to gain today: the plan is already as short as it gets.”

17

Read the before-and-after card at the top.

You’ll see: “Driving, before and after this reroute” with two times and a pill like “35 min less”, then Visits placed (“40 of 41”, or “every visit has a sitter”) and Changes to make in Time To Pet. Under it: “Plan saved Tue 7:42 AM. Nothing moves until you reroute.”
More

The card updates as you work: the changes count goes down to ✓ All done. If the reroute placed visits that were waiting before, it says the driving is counted over the visits placed both times, and gives the whole day’s driving beside it.

Make the changes in Time To Pet

18

Tap the box 2 Make 6 changes in Time To Pet to open the list.

It is just under the paste box.

You’ll see: one line per change: the time, the client and service, and what to do: “Maria → Jo” (a new sitter), “assign to Priya” (nobody was booked), “Sam keeps it, time moved from 9:00 AM” (a new time) or “no longer on the plan (was Jo)”.
19

Make the first line’s change in Time To Pet, then tap ✓ Done on that line.

You’ll see: the line leave the list at once, the count drop by one, and a note “Ticked off: Ada Pell (Fido, Rex).”
20

A change you do not want? Tap Skip on that line.

Skip leaves the visit as Time To Pet has it: the plan puts it back with the booked sitter, or at the booked time. There is no pop-up.

You’ll see: “Ada Pell (Fido, Rex) stays with Maria, as Time To Pet has it.” and, at the foot of the list, “1 left as it is in Time To Pet (Skip).”
21

Want a different sitter on a line? Open Change… on it and pick a name.

You’ll see: “Give Ada Pell (Fido, Rex) to Sam instead? It is pinned to Sam, like Pin on the visit.” Tap OK, then make that change in Time To Pet.
More: “Not placed yet”

Skip and Change do not check whether the visit fits. If it no longer fits anyone, a red note says “It is now under Not placed yet on the list: pick someone else for it.” The list then shows that visit as “not placed yet, still booked with … in Time To Pet. Nothing to change until it is placed.” Pick a sitter for it under Could not be scheduled (step 24).

22

Want the list somewhere else? Tap ๐Ÿ“‹ Copy as text.

On a phone it opens your share menu (text it to yourself, or to whoever updates Time To Pet). On a laptop it copies the list.

You’ll see: “Copied ✓” on a laptop. The text starts with the date and “Update in Time To Pet:”.
23

When every line is done, check the box heading.

You’ll see: ✓ Time To Pet matches this plan, and “✓ All done” on the before-and-after card.
More: I’ve updated Time To Pet

Made every change in Time To Pet without tapping Done line by line? Tap ✓ I’ve updated Time To Pet at the foot of the list, then OK. The list clears and only later changes show from then on.

What still needs you

24

If a line under the staff chips says ⚠ 1 visit couldn’t be scheduled, tap it.

You’ll see: a box called Could not be scheduled. Each visit gives its reason and one row of fixes: Give to Sam (+12 min driving), Give to a sitter anyway…, a Timing choice, and sometimes Who could take this late? If someone off today could do it, the top says “Off today but could be called in:” with a Call Priya in button.
More

The same strip also holds other notes for the day, like the medication card or “Cat or dog?”. It only shows once the day has been pasted or rerouted. Whatever you pick here goes on the Time To Pet list; make that change in Time To Pet too.

25

Tap the bell ๐Ÿ”” at the top. Skip it if it shows no number.

You’ll see: a screen called Needs a look, in sections: Keys, Hours between visits, Could not be fitted in, No one to shadow, Below their minimum, Setup, Cutting it close and others. Each line says what to do. Nothing in it: “Nothing else needs a look right now.”
More

The number only counts lines that need action. Cutting it close (visits with under 10 minutes of room before their window closes) counts only when a visit is actually outside its window. Tap × on a line you have dealt with; a section with more than three lines has Dismiss all. The same screen is More › Needs a look.

26

Today sorted? Tap 3 This day sorted? Check the days ahead ›.

It is under the Time To Pet list. It opens the same screen as Ahead on the bottom bar.

You’ll see: Looking ahead: every coming date with visits and what has changed since you last looked.
Once rerouted, the day stays put. Nothing moves on its own: not last night’s import, not a settings change, not a new booking. When something changes, the yellow banner lists it (“New, slotted in with their booked sitter (nothing else moved)”, “Gone from the schedule”, “Not working now”, “Settings changed”) with buttons to reroute when you want to. If you ticked Reroute by itself at 5 AM (fewest changes) in Set up, today was already rerouted when you woke up, and the banner says “Rerouted automatically at … (fewest changes)”.

During the day as it happens

Someone calls in sick

1

Tap their green chip under the date.

On a big team, first tap Mark somebody out or in ▸.

You’ll see: if they have no visits yet, “Mark Jo out for this day? The day is rerouted without them.” If they have visits, a panel “Mark Jo out for today” listing them.
2

In the panel, tick any visit they already finished.

Ticked visits stay theirs and nobody else picks them up. Select all ticks every one.

3

Tap Mark out & reroute (or OK on the short question).

You’ll see: “Jo is marked out. The day was rerouted around it; the Time To Pet list shows what to change.” Their chip turns grey with “(out)”, and their unfinished visits are on other cards.
4

Work the Time To Pet list as in the morning (steps 18 to 23).

Someone can work after all

1

Tap their grey chip.

You’ll see: “In for the whole day? OK for all day, or type hours like 9-2 / 9:00-14:00:”
2

Tap OK for all day, or type their hours first, like 9-2, then OK.

You’ll see: “Priya is marked in. Their booked visits are back on their card and nothing else moved. Reroute to give them more.” To hand them more of the day, tap Reroute.
More

Two shortcuts do the same thing: Call Priya in at the top of Could not be scheduled, and Working today next to a name the yellow banner lists as “Not working now”.

A new booking or a change in Time To Pet

1

Scroll below the sitter cards to the bar Changed in Time To Pet?.

You’ll see: four buttons: Paste changes (keeps your plan), New booking, Moved and Cancelled.
2

Copy just the changed visits from Time To Pet’s Daily Summary, tap Paste changes (keeps your plan), paste, then Bring it in.

You’ll see: “Brought in from Time To Pet.” and, in the yellow banner, the new visit as “New, slotted in with their booked sitter (nothing else moved)” or “New, not placed yet”.
More: the other three buttons

New booking: type the client as spelled on the Clients tab, the service, around when, how many minutes, and pick a sitter or Whoever suits, then Add it. Add it in Time To Pet as well. Moved: pick the visit, type the new time, Move it. Cancelled: pick the visit, Take it off; cancel it in Time To Pet too, or tonight’s import puts it back.

With the nightly backup connected, new bookings also arrive by themselves overnight and are slotted in the same way.

3

If the banner says something is not placed, tap one of its reroute buttons, or give the visit to someone under Could not be scheduled.

You’ll see: the visit on a card, and a line for it on the Time To Pet list.

A visit needs a different sitter

1

Press and hold the visit on its card until a small label lifts off under your finger.

About half a second. A quick tap opens the visit instead; a swipe still scrolls.

2

Drag it onto the other sitter’s card and let go.

Drop it on one of their visits instead to swap the two.

You’ll see: “Move Ada Pell (Fido, Rex) · Drop-in to Sam? It is pinned to them. Change it in Time To Pet too.” Tap OK.
More

Rather tap than drag? Tap the visit to open it, then use the ๐Ÿ“Œ on the card it is on, or Change… on its Time To Pet line. The How do I guide has every way.

Keep part of the day exactly as it is

1

One visit: tap it, then Pin to this sitter.

You’ll see: the visit card says “pinned”. Tap it again and Unpin to undo.
2

One sitter’s whole day: tap the ๐Ÿ“Œ on their card’s coloured heading, then OK.

You’ll see: “Pin all 8 of Maria’s visits to them? A Reroute then leaves their day as it is.” After OK the heading shows ๐Ÿ“Œ ✓. Tap it again to unpin them all.
3

Everything: on the bar Keep or move a few? under the cards, tap Pin all, then OK.

You’ll see: the button shows a count, like Pin all (41). Afterwards it becomes Unpin all (41).
After any single change (a timing choice, a move, a new booking), the plan is kept and the page says “Your plan is kept; the yellow box shows what this changes. Press Reroute when you want the day replanned around it.” Every change you make is also on the Time To Pet list.

End of the day 5 minutes

1

Check today’s Time To Pet list says ✓ Time To Pet matches this plan.

Any line left is a change still to make in Time To Pet, or to Skip.

2

Tap › next to the date to go to tomorrow.

You’ll see: tomorrow’s date with a “Tomorrow” tag.
3

If you did not paste tomorrow this morning, paste tomorrow’s Daily Summary and tap Bring it in.

Exactly as steps 7 to 11. The page only takes a summary for a date it covers: be on tomorrow when you paste tomorrow.

4

Reroute tomorrow and work its Time To Pet list.

Steps 13 to 23. Doing it tonight means your sitters see tomorrow’s changes in Time To Pet before they start.

5

Optional: tap Ahead on the bottom bar to look further.

You’ll see: each coming date with a short status. Tap one to see the current plan beside the optimized one. Lock this in keeps that plan, and the page still warns you if Time To Pet changes it.

Once a week 5 minutes

Time off and availability

1

In Time To Pet, go to Scheduler › Time Off › List › Week.

If your account works by availability instead (Settings: Scheduling Model): Scheduler › Availability › List › Week.

2

Select all and copy.

3

On the route page, tap Shifts on the bottom bar.

You’ll see: at the top, Who’s working this week (a grid), and under it a paste box headed Who’s actually working: paste Time To Pet’s team time off view with a line saying when it was last brought in.
4

Paste into that box and tap Check (changes nothing).

You’ll see: a short report under the buttons on how the paste compares with what is saved. Nothing is saved yet.
5

Tap Bring it in (replaces these dates).

You’ll see: the result under the buttons, and the grid updated. Days off are grey, working days green with their hours.
More

It replaces what was saved for the pasted dates, so paste the whole view again whenever someone books time off; it never piles up. A day you set by hand on the page (marked out, or Working today) is kept. Time off in the middle of a shift becomes a break, with the hours set around it.

6

A quick change without Time To Pet? Tap the person’s day in the grid.

A grey day marks them in. A green day asks “mark them out for the day?”: OK marks them out, Cancel lets you type hours instead. Usual week at the end of a row saves that row as their standing week.

The coming week’s Daily Summary

7

Optional, and it saves the morning paste: copy the Daily Summary for the whole coming week, then paste it once on the first day and tap Bring it in.

You’ll see: “This summary also covered 6 other days, so their windows were set too”. Those days are not rerouted until you open each one, or use More › Reroute several days.

No Dropbox backup? The week’s visits

8

In Time To Pet, export the week’s visits (Reporting › Schedule › Visits, choose the week, Generate, then Download), then on the page open More › Set up › This week’s visits and tap Choose the visits export.

You’ll see: how many visits came in, for which days. With the nightly backup connected, skip this; visits arrive by themselves.

Once a month 10 minutes

Revenue

1

In Time To Pet, open Reporting › Schedule › Visits Report for last month.

This report, not one of the Revenue reports: those total money by period without naming the client.

2

Click Generate, then Download, open the file in Google Sheets or Excel, select all and copy.

Copy from a spreadsheet, not a text app: in a text app the dates and amounts break apart.

3

On the route page, tap More › Reports & Metrics.

You’ll see: Your scorecard at the top. If revenue is behind, “This month so far” says “Not brought in yet”.
4

Scroll to Bring in revenue, paste into the box, and tap Import revenue.

You’ll see: how many visits came in, under the button, and the scorecard filled in.
More

Safe to run again on an overlapping period: matching rows are skipped, never duplicated. After 35 days without one, the bell reminds you.

Hours actually worked

5

From your payroll, copy one row per sitter per pay period: name, period start, period end, total hours.

Header row and all. These are real hours, not Time To Pet’s scheduled ones.

6

On the same screen, under Bring in hours actually worked, paste and tap Import hours.

You’ll see: how many rows came in. Cost and utilisation reports now use real hours instead of estimating them.
7

Optional: tap Choose what shows above the scorecard to pin up to six numbers to the top, or hide any.

You’ll see: a ☆ and Hide beside each number. Tap ✓ Done choosing when finished; it is saved for every phone and computer.

Client requests are not part of the monthly routine. To see where a request would fit, paste Time To Pet’s request email into Paste changes (keeps your plan): it is only checked, nothing is booked.

If something is off

“Sorry, unable to open the file at this time”, or a blank page

The browser or phone is signed in to more than one Google account. Open the link in a private tab once, without signing in (the route page needs no Google sign-in). If it keeps happening, sign that browser out of the extra Google account.

No morning brief arrived

Look in spam, then check Settings › Plan Emails To (search Settings for it). Morning Brief must be On. It goes once a day, from around 5 AM; a workbook still holding the template’s example rows sends nothing until Set up’s first step, Start clean, is done.

“That summary is for …, and you are looking at …”

The page is on a different date from the summary. Move to a date the summary covers (the arrows at the top), then paste again. A summary covering several days sets every one of them, as long as you are on one of them.

“Couldn’t find any requested blocks in what you pasted”

What you copied was not the Daily Summary, or only part of it. Open Schedule › Daily Summary in Time To Pet, select all (not just a few lines, and down to the end of the staff list at the bottom), copy, and paste again.

Bring it in asks “This day was already rerouted … Continue?”

Tap Cancel if you only want to add a few changes. Use Paste changes (keeps your plan) under the cards instead. OK lays the day out as booked again and clears its Time To Pet list.

“Booked with someone not on the Staff tab”

Time To Pet has a sitter Route Companion does not know. Bring the staff file in again (More › Set up › Your team). If it is an office or dummy account, tick Placeholder for it on the Staff tab, or add it to the Staff Import Ignore List.

A sitter is missing from today

Look at their chip. “(not on the Daily Summary)”: they are not booked today; tap the chip to mark them in. “(out)”: they have time off; tap to mark them in if they are working. “(no address yet)”: add their address in Time To Pet, bring the staff file in again, then Put everyone on the map in Set up.

“3 sitters free today” while one sitter has a long day

Tap Show names: each says why (“not booked in Time To Pet”, “last resort”, “only does some services”). If one sitter carries far more than the rest, a box offers Spread them out (a best-routes reroute; pinned visits stay) or Leave it.

A visit says nobody can take it

Open Could not be scheduled (the ⚠ line under the chips). The reason is written there, with the fixes for today: Give to a sitter it fits, Give to a sitter anyway…, a wider Timing choice, Who could take this late?, or Call … in.

“It is now under Not placed yet on the list”

A Skip or Change left that visit with nobody. Open Could not be scheduled and give it to someone, or reroute.

The list is titled “The whole plan: 41 visits (Time To Pet’s sitters not known yet)”

The page does not know who Time To Pet booked, so every visit looks like a change. Paste this day’s Daily Summary and it becomes the short list of real changes. If Time To Pet already matches, tap I’ve updated Time To Pet.

Two visits for one client are too close, or too far apart

The bell and the morning brief both list them under “Hours between visits”. The plan keeps your rules where the bookings allow; when a booking itself breaks one, change it in Time To Pet. The rules are in Settings › Advanced › Visit spacing, or per client on the Clients tab. If a Cat or dog? box appears, tap the answer: the cat and dog rules cannot apply until the page knows.

A medication visit is at the wrong time

Open the notes strip under the chips. The card Medication in a note, not yet set as a medication visit lists notes that mention medication. Tap the button with the dose time (like Set 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM), AM or PM if the note does not say, Medication, any time in the window, or Not medication. A set window holds on every reroute.

The day changed and I did not touch it

It did not move by itself. The yellow banner lists what changed in Time To Pet since the plan was made (new, gone, times changed, someone not working now) and nobody else was moved. Reroute when you want them fitted in.

“Drive times are estimates: Google refused the Routes API”

Leave extra room today: estimates usually run short. The fix is in the Maps key guide: everjade.store/help/maps-key.

“Couldn’t reach the server just now”, or “Someone is rerouting this day right now”

The first is your connection: what you see may be a few minutes old, and the page tries again. The second means another phone is rerouting; this one refreshes when it finishes. Tap ↻ at the top to check now.

“That took too long and was stopped”

Google stops any job at six minutes. Nothing may have changed. Press the same button again; a very big day can take two goes.

A red message appeared

Tap Report this on it. The report opens with the message already filled in; add what you were doing and tap Send.

Something else

More › Report a problem. It goes to the owner and to Everjade, with the date on screen and the page’s recent errors attached. Everjade replies within two working days; a problem that stops planning comes first.
