Paste your day. Pin what stays. Reroute the rest.

This is Route Companion running on a sample business: Lakeside Pet Care, five sitters, 41 visits, real Madison streets, made-up names. A working miniature of the planner runs right here in your browser. Tap anything.

Start on the phone with Paste today's Daily Summary. You see the day exactly as Time To Pet booked it. Pin the visits that must stay, reroute the rest, then make the short list of changes in Time To Pet.

The real product lives in your own Google Sheet, reads the Daily Summary you paste from Time To Pet, and uses Google's road drive times. This demo estimates drive times and draws straight lines so it runs anywhere with no account.

Use it to A thin client is too far, too cheap, or too short for the trip; the driving share tells you which.
Measures What each client paid, minus what it cost in sitter time and driving to serve them, and which ones cost more than they paid. From Revenue Log against Visit Log minutes, drive minutes and miles (real where known, estimated otherwise), priced with the PayRate, PayModel and MileageRate on your Staff tab. Sitter cost only: not insurance, software, your own hours or tax.

Measures Clients whose usual rhythm has stopped: overdue by 2.5× their own normal gap. From Visit Log dates per client and service, where there are four or more separate visit dates (two visits give one gap, which is a coincidence, not a rhythm). Clients marked Former, or still booking any service, are never listed.

Measures Which months and weeks are busier or quieter than your own average, per day of data. From Billed visits from your Time To Pet history plus planned days: the Revenue Log up to its last billed day, the Visit Log for other days, each day counted once. Months are compared by visits per day, not raw count. A month your history starts or stops part way through is never named busiest or quietest.
There is work you are turning away
There is work you are turning awayThese slots came up short on at least three separate dates each, so they are a shape in your week rather than one difficult day. That is demand you already have and cannot serve.

Counted as capacity evidence: 7 unassigned visit(s). NOT counted: 10 caused by a rule or a Staff-tab entry (spacing minimum, skills, exclusions, familiarity) and 1 by missing client data. Those are fixed in Settings or on the tabs, not by hiring.
Use it to If the same day and time keeps appearing, that is the shift to hire for. If most gaps are rules, fix Settings instead.
Measures Visits you could not place for lack of hands, requests you turned away for lack of a sitter, and when both recur, over the period you choose, so last year’s solved problems stop arguing for a hire today. From The Unassigned Log (capacity reasons only) and the Client Requests Log (rejections marked ‘No sitter available’). Rule-caused refusals and other rejection reasons are shown but NOT counted.

Sample numbers, for a business about a year after setting up Route Companion. The money and client figures come from up to two years of your exports (12 months per paste) from Time To Pet, the same day. So does Busy and Quiet Seasons, which adds your planned days as you go. Clients Gone Quiet and the hiring gaps build up as you plan real days.

📌 Pin what stays
A pinned visit keeps its sitter through every reroute. Tap Pin all, then unpin the few you are happy to move.
Fewest changes, or best routes
Reroute: fewest changes only moves a visit off its Time To Pet sitter when that saves real driving. Reroute: best routes goes for the least driving and moves whatever it takes. Neither touches a pin.
Make the changes in Time To Pet
After a reroute you get the list of edits to make in Time To Pet, in plain words. Tick each one with Done. Skip keeps the Time To Pet sitter and replans the rest.
“Could not be scheduled”
Nothing is dropped without telling you. Tap Assign anyway and you get every sitter with the real cost of taking it (“22 min past the window”, “35 min past Simone’s hours”), and whoever you pick keeps it, marked as your call.
The day, hour by hour
One lane per sitter, so you can see what moved: an outlined block changed hands, a hatched one needs a decision. It is drawn for this demo; the real page shows each sitter's day as a list with times. Tap a block for its details.
Play the demo
Plays the main story on a loop. Tap anywhere to stop it and take over from that point.
Tap a visit's name
The map pin lights up and a sheet explains why the visit landed where it did: the timing rule, the note from Time To Pet, the drive.
